This place was an excellent choice. We had 5 small plates amd they were all delicious! The pork belly was cooked to perfection, the calamari was very tender and very lean... delicious! Gouda sausage balls were moist and delicious and very tender, the shrimp was slightly spicy and extremely good!!!.... the cheese surds were also great not the best on the table but def worth ordering. The way they paired the foods to sauces is excellent but we found all the dauces good on everything. We look very fwd to our next experience there. The waiter we had was hands down the best waiter I have had since the pandemic started so a huge shout out to Anthony!!!

I went to The Putnam Room for the first time last night, and it was hands-down the best meal I’ve had in Cookeville since moving here. The food was exceptional—especially the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back.

First time diners and what a pleasant surprise. Food was well seasoned and plated. Had the tuna steak and the porkchop, which was huge. The appetizer, fried greens tomatoes were good but very small portion and over priced. Our server was friendly and effective. Only mild dissatisfaction was the servers gather near the bar area and carry on non work conversations. I like the fact they take online reservations. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we would return.

Food was really good, my drink was ok, the appetizer " The Dip" was very good. My steak was great. Hubby's Beef in his stroganoff was tough, odd. But the flavor was good. The dessert was tasty. Our server was attentive, but I forgot her name, sorry. ( began with a B) The only problem were some "valley girls" at the bar talking super loud, disrupting our meal/ atmosphere.

I am so happy to have discovered this place! It was really hard to choose what to order because everything sounded so good, but I landed on the Buffalo Chicken potato patties, the grilled Caesar salad, and the steak medallions. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was cooked exactly right, including the roasted potatoes served with the steak. Washed it down with a Pinot noir and finished with the mocha creme brulee, which may have been the best thing I ate! I sat with Brenna at the bar, who gave perfect service. She was there when I had questions but didn't hover. I can't wait to return!

My husband and I have high standards for dining out and are often disappointed with area options. We reserved a table at the Putnam Room in the middle of the week, and although the restaurant was nearly full when we arrived a tad early, we were seated immediately. Rebecca, the bartender, made us some delicious drinks, and I highly recommend the Dave Drop if you’re a martini person. She was an excellent server as well, giving us the right amount of space and time to enjoy ourselves. We ordered the filet and the tuna; both plates were a 10/10! The filet was cooked to perfection and cut like butter, but the brussel sprouts stole the show. The tuna was fresh, seasoned well, and the cucumber salad had a hint of sweet and spicy, pairing perfectly with the meal. We topped everything off by sharing a gluten free dessert, Mocha Creme Brulee, and O M G I thought I didn’t care for creme brulee very much, but I couldn’t put my spoon down! I’m already thinking about what I’m going to order at my next visit.

Very reasonable prices for great food. I don't think you can go wrong there and Happy Hour might be the Best in state. It's a family favorite and we dine here everytime we're nearby. From salmon and tasty calamari, to grilled cheese, crab cakes and shrimp, quesadillas to fancy dishes, you can't go wrong here.
